The army is out, all of the warriors are united under a single banner and hell is about to break loose. If you want to join the army gather your cleaning equipment cause it’s dusting time.
So yeah it comes a time when you need to do that hard task of cleaning your precious collection, which means getting them out of the shelfs and start to dust away all of that dust. It has been quite some time since I cleaned my shelf and my figures and gundams, but now they’re all pretty and shiny again. The army keeps growing, still waiting for two more girls, Sheryl and Saber Lily, Musha Gundam is still in construction and was not ready for presentation.
The second hard thing to do after cleaning is putting everything back in their places, I don’t know which one is worse, getting everything out or putting everything back in.
Doing these “close up” shots is quite amusing.
Here is an overview of everything.
You may have noticed that you can no longer click on the pictures to view the bigger version, the reason is because I didn’t add a link to the bigger version, even if you go to my flickr page you won’t be able to see the all the sizes, only the ones that are my contacts are able to that. Why?! Well simply because I’m tired of seeing my pictures all around the web cut, posted, modified without giving me credit, and to not kill the entire picture by putting a huge watermark in middle of it I decided to go this way.
So if you used to view at the bigger versions, sorry, either get a a flickr account (free) and add me as a contact or just look at the pictures the way they are shown. I hope you readers who usually come here and new ones understand.
That’s quite the army alright. Wow. I’m surprised you actually have enough desk space to put them all in one place!
I haven’t dusted my figures in a long time too. My figures must hate me now. lol
Oh they can be quite scary when they start to get dusty. They start to look at you with those piercing eyes saying you better clean me now or you’re done XD
Heheh, I think I said it the last time you brought the figures out for cleaning, and I’ll be saying about the same thing again this time: I still haven’t took my figures out for cleaning before ^^;
But sweet, it certainly looks like a lot more to clean now compared to last time, awesome when the collection grows =)
Sucks that your pics are being used without credit all over. I kinda wish I was in your shoes though, but I guess my photos aren’t really great enough ^^; Thankfully I’m your contact on flickr, so I won’t miss out on anything xD
I like cleaning them cause I can put everything together and take these pictures ^^.
Well the last picture I saw out there was the bottom part of Sera-chan on a gaming website and they never gave me credit so I had to take these measures. Unfortunately I cannot control my pictures on photobucket and I don’t have the guts to change all of them to flickr and uploading the picture links on the posts so I have to leave them alone. But if I can protect the ones on flickr then that’s what I’ll do. I don’t mind people using my pictures as long as they give me credit and say where they got them from.
I have a bigger army than yours and I seriously need to get around to cleaning them too. URGH
It’s due to this reason I have now place all my figures (well almost all) back in to their boxes. This is until I have a proper place to display them.
…cleaning is troublesome.. >.>a
Yay ^_^
Even at this size the figures are still fantastic.
I totally understand your decision to restrict the access to the higher resolution versions of your pictures. You have put alot of effort into your pictures and seeing someone else claiming them is awful.
On the other hand thats a confirmation of the quality of your pictures.I wonder how you stumbled across your pictures though.
I havent done some cleaning in ages…I definately need to do that soon
I remember one was posted on dannychoo by someone else and again on that person blog. I talked to the guy and he apologized saying that he got it from 4chan and then he gave me credit on his blog about the picture, so I can’t really blame him because the one at fault here was 4chan. The other was even worse, a friend of mine found it on a games website and alerted me to it, so for not causing a ruckus I decided to leave it alone. There were some others but these two were the worst because they were modified like cropping and clearly cleaning the animestuff logo and for that I cannot allow it.
I don’t have problems with people who used my pics and crediting it back to my blog, but I do have problems with people who direct-link my image. Nothing annoys me more than being robbed of my monthly bandwidth. Anyway, it’s inevitable that if you post something on the Internet, it’s gonna get reposted again somewhere, with or without acknowledgements or permissions. It’s one of the risk that you gotta accept.
