I’ve lost my head definitely, last week Hayate and Saber Maid enter my house and now the big and mean Playstation 3 O.o. Well yeah it was about damn time to get this baby since more and more good games have been coming out, some may wonder why PS3 and not XBox360?! Well I have nothing against the 360 I actually love some its games like Halo 3, Gears of War 1&2 and Mass Effect, but lets face it most of these games are on or will be on PC which I’ll need to buy a new one as well (Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3) so why buy a 360 if most of the games I like are on PS3 and PC, another reason that lead me to buy the PS3 is the Blu-Ray, DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, region free games and many other reasons. I bought the bundle of PS3+GT5 Prologue+GTAIV, the other bundles were not of my taste except the one that only came with Killzone 2 and was 10€ cheaper but two games is always better than one (already had Folklore with me and I love it). Who better to greet PS3 the girls and Strike of AnimeStuff .

you should get valkyria chronicle, it’s a good game. Also disgaea 3 and eternal sonata

Already added you ^_^. Yes I know Valkyria Chronicles is a good game I love it, will definitely get it some day. Never played a Disgaea games but I heard they’re quite hard. Read some bad comments and reviews about eternal sonata saying that its not that good so I’d like to try it first on a friends console before deciding of buying it.

  no no no no no you said that i kick is ass, eternal sonata is one of the best games i played, you shoud play it, its a 10 out of 10, even better than Tales of Vesperia, look its beautifull, a must get

    Ok ok ok, I’ll get it someday, just not in the mood to pay 60~70€ for a game, actually since I have the PS3 I haven’t any of those prices for my games

Remember that there is a trend nowadays to bash any Japanese style RPG because they don’t play as shooters ! Seems silly but there is a lot a bias on game reviews .
I can say with a considerable degree of confidance, that if you like jrpgs then you will like Eternal Sonata.

Disgaea 3 is a different beast ! For a tactical rpg it’s brilliant, but the humour is sometimes hard to get and it IS hard. But if you play Valkyria chronicles and enjoy it I don’t see why you wouldn’t like Disgaea as well .

Of that I don’t know if they are bashing Japanese RPG for not being shooters but one thing I do know is that people complain about PS3 for not having more games like Halo, etc etc, people tend to forget that Japanese folks don’t like those sorts of games, if you want those go get a frickin 360 and stop complaining. Of course I’ll try eternal sonata some day but I prefer trying it first before buying it since games are a bit expensive.

I love tactical games and if they’re rpg mixed then its a win win, perhaps I like them because I’m a rts player . Super Robot Wars Original Generation 2 for gameboy advance is hard really frickin hard, so no doubt I might be a little ready for a game like Disgaea XD. No need to talk about Valkyria Chronicles, frickin love that game and need to get it @_@

Disgaea is piss easy with a little grinding and the game does a good job of setting you at ease with its colourful graphics and dialogue. And OG2 was very easy when I plowed its ass on the PS2 remake. Just always get SP Regen for everyone. Just don’t play SRW MX or Z until you do manage do beat OG2. I can’t completely beat either and I’ve had both since their launch dates. Yikes.
And I reccomend you get your games off of Amazon UK right now. Saved a bundle, last time I got three new 360 games for like 50 euros with shipping and VAT. Score?And of course, mandatory Saber praising paragraph. <3

Well many people told me that the PS2 remake of OGs is much easier than the GBA one and I always get SP Regen for all even so is pretty hard the GBA. All of my latest games have come from Amazon UK like Persona 3 FES, Persona 4, Folklore, etc… while these cost here around 50€ for PS2 and 60€+ for PS3 on the amazon the cost around 20~30€ cheaper of course FES and Persona 4 don’t count they don’t even exist here in shops

Eternal Sonata is actually quite good, I like that game, you can download the demo for it, somewhere in the PSN store (cant remember tho which one, US or Japan)

mmm.. actually SRW MX is kinda easy too, as i remember i
abused alot assist attacks + zeorymer combo ^^;;;;
And yeah, PS2 OG2 is much easier than GBA’s version.. Gilliam + PS2 Gespent RV = can clean the whole map

OGS is indeed made easier by the fact you get tons of new units which means that you don’t need to keep some pilots in crappy Gespents. That and if you manage to score the Vysaga in OG2 you got it pretty much made. Plus, Ratsel + Zengar Tornado Blade combo attack means an easy 30000+ attack you can do twice per turn. Almost makes the SRX’s HBT Cannon a second choice to wipe out entire maps with ease. Comboing two Combination attacks is also pretty brutal.
MX could be brutally hard for an actually honest player though. In general though, Banpresto has been beefing up the difficulty for the games again. SRW Z can be pretty hard if you don’t abuse the Nirvash Spec 2 and the Seven Swell map attack. Not brutally hard but hard nonetheless.

alteisen : In my case, he has far too much stuff I want there this time. Sinanju is at the top of my list but that’s after I take the D.Hobby Magazine that comes with the GN Sefer and the Vardant that came for me. Would’t mind a 00 Raiser either, eventually. I feel like singing Pink Floyd’s Money…

@Amon: if you wanna try out the true hardness of SRW, you should play snes SRW4 (my first SRW since 1995) ^^ No SP Regeneration, all npc units with double turns, no assist, no combi attacks, individual weapon upgrade system, Gundam beams = not P attack and not mention the early stages bosses abuse (usuallly they come with a pack of 3 or 4) XD
When i said that MX was easy.. i was honest ^^ you can ask Nakano about me, since he kinda knows well about my SRW gaming experience XD
