Sorry for the lack of posts, especially on the last day of 2008 and the first day of 2009. I had a lot to do (and no it wasn’t for playing WoW), a family problem also came up, and the weather hasn’t been really great, you’ll see what I mean.
Well…I think everyone knows this figure of Blanc Neige from Kotobukiya which was presented to us around May or April of last year, can’t quite remember it. One of the best figures by Kotobukiya no doubt about that, if they keep this up they’ll reach the same level of Alter and GSC.
If you have been reading some comments here you’ll notice some questions about the weather, is it always blue and sunny like that, and so on and so on. Well it’s not always blue and sunny you know, after Christmas we got some really bad weather in terms of rain but especially fog, I can’t remember ever getting such dense fog for so many days, sometimes it only happened for one day but this took almost a week always like this (picture below), so you can see the weather here can be ugly sometimes and today was no exception but without the fog.

Onto the figure. The details can be viewed in both ways, simple and cute or very detailed and still cute. I like everything on her although the hair could be a bit more detailed but sometimes the most simple things are the best.
Its hard to believe no one picked this beauty at Jikai, this is one of the things that happens there, for more about this read the previous post.
The cape in my Neige is a bit weird, probably a defect caused by pressure because her cape is not wide open, its touching her right foot and it shouldn’t be. I tried fixing it but I was afraid of breaking it.
One interesting aspect is that she is fixed to her base with a screw, I never seen one figure that has come attached to the base itself.
Neige without her cape, don’t know if I like her more with or without it ^_^
Definitely one of her strong points is that leg
The “leg”
Compared to Kan’U and Chou’un she’s not very photogenic, what I mean is, she doesn’t to many angles to shoot
This is one of those situations that I grab the figure, hold her with one hand pointing at the sky and then shoot with the other hand while holding the heavy DSLR
Looking to the town in the middle of the mountain ^^
Still thinking which one should go next, Chua Churam or Reinforce?!?! Anyway I’ll decide it when the times is more appropriate, the weather is better and after I get married. You can see more of her at happysoda and exelica-meteor
PS: I’m not getting married, that was a joke xD

Nice shots.
Also most of Kotobukiya’s Shining Wind series figures come screwed to their bases. No idea why they like doing that though. And Blanc Neige. <3
I did a major photoshoot back for her in October last year, she was released in September.
I like her better without the cape !
LOL at the bad weather picture.^^
Getting married real soon?
yeah, i do hope kotobukiya keep increasing their figurine quality
some of their 2008 figurines were awesome
got mixed review about this tho, some said the quality isnt that good =\
get both chua churam and reinforce hehe
i really love this shoot!
hope you do chua churam next!
That’s how the sky in my country usually looks like, greyish, we seldom get blue sky here.
I prefer the previous Kotobukiya Blanc Neige though, don’t really like the expression of this one but other than that she’s a nice figure. Slim and sexy without the cape ^^
 I fell for the joke.
Do love the photos!!!!!!
I don’t have her…sadly…I plan to…someday…
Marry me ! :p
Awesome pics like always , even if i’m still jealous about your view and that sky :p
And thanks for the link
Wants to see Chua next !
btw i had the same problem with the cape on mine , i had to put in in hot water to repair it
Nice figure! I am thinking about getting her too since my local store has her on discount price. I will take note of the cape. Anyway, Koto likes to screw Shining Wind figures to their bases, at least for my Elwing, though I haven gotten her out for review yet. (^_^)
Im amazed that your “sky pictures” look that good when our using both hands ^^
In Germany we have right now the perfect weather for her.sooo Cooooold
Very nice indeed and beautiful photos, about the cape a little trick, you can just warm it on the leg line with a hair dryer for about 1 minute and… voilá, you can mold it as you wish!
Heh, the weather’s very nice down there.
she is a really nice figure and nice photos
@panther: well I didn’t know all Shining Wind series were attached to the base. I know she was released in September but her prototype came out some months earlier which was around April or May.
@ravhin: I still don’t know which one I prefer
@rats: hehe yeah the bad weather sucked really bad. HAHAHA you fell for the joke xD
@ron~: well if they increase quality and not the price then it’s fine by me. The quality is ok to me, although there are some flaws which I hid with a bit of magic here and there
@v2: I guess I just fulfilled your wish
@valho: well who lives in south-east asia is doomed to get this kind of weather but here the days are more blue than grey
@rin: a nice figure indeed but not one of those that we must really get unless you’re a real fan of the series and Tony’s art work
@james: hell no, I don’t want to marry you. Chua is online and I still don’t know if I should give her cape a dip
@eltboy: well you should think about getting her because she may disappear and then when you’ll be going to get her and she’s not there anymore you’ll cry of sadness (not literally)
@blowfish: it’s really hard to do that, with a small compact camera its really easy but with a dslr its hard but since it’s with the A100 it gets a bit easier but once I tried with the A700 I couldn’t do it because of the weight. Yeah I heard that Germany is really under extreme cold, thankfully the weather is better here now but some days ago we got 0 degrees Celsius in Algarve which is definitely not normal.
@rest of the comments: thx guys
Those pictures are very good. It is very nice if you are taking photo’s on a nice weather. Hope to see more.
Waouh ! Your picture are beautiful.. I need to buy her someday…
I think Kotobukia already reached the level of Alter, Max Factory and GSC, my latest figures by them are very good ones. My first figure with a screw on her foot was Yomiko Readman, also from Kotobukia. More figure makers shoud use this feature to avoid broken pegs and leaning.
