We figure lovers know that every month new figures are launched but this first half of 2008 is being crazy, our wallets are already trembling in fear for a possible emptiness future. And who’s leading the way so far?! No one actually because each major figure maker has their own licenses to make the figures they purchased. For me Alter is leading so far as I mentioned in a previous post, I’m not a fan of Alter nor Max Factory, nor Good Smile, I just want to know if the figures are well made that’s all but Alter this year is definitely on a roll with more lovely figures incoming till July.
As many of you already know next month its Kanu Unchou release and guess from who? Alter…, already got mine reserved at Jikai. She’s been “tagged” for 6,800 yen.
Also for next month from Good Smile we got Kuonji Shinra-sama from the series They Are my Noble Masters a must watch series with loads of fun and cameo stuff from other series and with voice actors from other series like G Gundam (main character) and from Haruhi Suzumiya (Mikuru voice actor). Her price 6,190 yen.
For May we got two more figures from Good Smile, ChuChu Astram and another figure from Shuraki line designed by Shunya Yamashita, Needa. Both at the price of 6,476 yen.

For July (skipped June, check here ) we go three launches, two by Alter and one by Max Factory.
By Alter we got Chouun Shiryuu from Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny, really really nice figure even with her eyes closed but what attracts me the most in this figure is her hair and hand (holding the sword) so frickin amazing. I’m guessing that Alter will probably release almost the entire Dragon Destiny girls cast. Her price 6,800 yen.
Also and again from Alter we got Lily Salvatana or the cowgirl with big eyes popping out, shes from the game Satsuriku no Jango, you may know another figure from the same game, Donne Anonime. Her price 6,800 yen.
And finally from Max Factory we got Another Blood (don’t know if this is her name) from the series Kishin Houkou DemonBane. Her price 7,429 yen.
Well to conclude… their prices are way high than what we used to have some time ago, I kinda understand why the prices are so high, with the escalating rise of oil mostly because of the credit problems in the US since last August prices of everything around the world have been rising like hell so we have to handle it unfortunately.
Oh ma gawd !! I’m always amazed by Japanese figures hah. I can’t see too many of them though, I may feel compelled on buying some and that is something that can’t happen
Alter Kanu is a must get for me, looking forward to her
still undecided about Chouun Shiryuu but she does looks pretty good. And of course Needa to complete my shuraki collection, sad that both have been delay to May though. I skip Chuchu and went for Alter Chua Churam, the dress and guitar just looks too good 
So many figures. I so want the Ikkitousen figures. I need a better figure info site. You seem to know what is coming soon. Still…I still want them all.
On my list: Alter’s Kanu, Alter’s Chouun, GSC’s Needa.. still thinking about Shinra.. dropped her..
@ravhin: lol why not? Well they’re getting quite expensive mostly because of the oil price and stuff but it’s always nice to have cute figures around you ^^.

. I would like to get Needa as well but I can’t get all of them, my wallet won’t allow it mostly because of the incoming PG.
@rin: Not only me, loads of people are updated on the upcoming figures because most of them go out of stock quickly and we need good info before they are released, normally we know when they’re going to be released at least 4 to 6 months before they come out.
@prim3: don’t care much about Shinra, I like the series but I don’t have a wish for her. Since Kanu is my favorite Ikkitousen girl I needed to get her and Choun is mostly to complete set, of course I like the way she was built ^^ and already pre-ordered her at my friends shop.
I’m waiting for my cerebus project kanu and the twins from Lucky Star, plus I have other expenses so my wallet is pretty empty.
ChuChu, Lily, and Another Blood on my list. When I found out Alter was going to release a Chouun, I was excited, but since her eyes are closed I’m not sure.
@Belela-san: Heh My problem would be that it would be very likely that any figure of this kind that I would own, would meet an “accident” . Not everyone is very open minded about these things hehe
Oil, of course. I’d almost forgotten that it’s a key ingredient in a lot of plastics. If they could start making plastics with something other than oil, it would not only save us money but be better for the environment. . .
